Yes, it's true, Laurie is 6'5" and yes, she plays basketball. She played basketball at Fresno State (Go Dogs!) and then in Europe for 4 years. In Europe, Laurie played on teams in Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany. She has traveled throughout Europe and thoroughly enjoyed her time overseas. Laurie grew up in Reedley, California, a city located about 30 miles South-East of Fresno. Her family is still in the Reedley area and she visits them once every couple of months. She moved to Stockton in 2003 when her job at the time called for a relocation. She didn't know anyone in town and decided to attend Quail Lakes Baptist Church. Laurie met her husband there and 6 months later the two married. "In case you're curious, he is 6'11" and sweet as can be!" exclaims Laurie. "We are very happy here in Stockton and have met some wonderful people." Wayne and Laurie held the record as The World's Tallest Living Married Couple according to Guinness World Records from 2010 to 2013. They are currently America's Tallest Married Couple.
